April 2nd, 2004

To: Evan Archerd

Subject: 2004 National Historic Preservation Week — Ashland Award Winner for the Residential Restoration at 117 Almond Street

The Ashland Historic Commission has awarded eight "2004 Historic Preservation Awards" for individuals and projects that have contributed to the preservation efforts in the community. This year's categories are Historic Preservation Individual Award, Historically Compatible Commercial Restoration, Historically Compatible New Commercial Construction, Historically Compatible Residential Restoration, Historically Compatible New Residential Construction, Historically Compatible Accessory Building and Historically Compatible Civic Construction.

You have been nominated as well as Bruce Roberts and Jay Pricer for their efforts with the work done on the house at 117 Almond Street. The work is a great example of residential restoration in our community. Your efforts are much appreciated.

As a primary person for this project, the Historic Commission is asking for your attendance for the awards presentation to be held at noon on May 7th, 2004 at 455 Siskiyou Boulevard in the new Ashland Fire Station. Ashland Mayor Alan DeBoer or Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski is expected to present the awards.

Sincerely,

John McLaughlin, COmmunity Development Director
